Transportbedrijf Verhelst n.v. was founded  in 1934 as a division of Groep Verhelst. The company specialised itself in the transport of construction materials and this is still the company’s main activity today.

Transportbedrijf Verhelst offers rear tippers for bulk transport of raw materials for the manufacturing industry, the building industry and the road construction industry, including sand, road metal and quarry stones up to 6 tonnes each.

Powder tanks for e.g. cement and flatbed trailers for palletised or packaged goods. In recent years the company has also acquired expertise regarding transport with flatbed trailers to the four corners of the UK.

Groep Verhelst furthermore has its own well-equipped sheds for transhipment in the port of Oostende with unloading facilities according to the needs of the customer  (see Ter Polder).

Transeurope n.v. was established in 1948 and mainly focused on transport of beverages for the large Belgian breweries. Transeurope joined Groep Verhelst in 1975.

Transeurope mainly focuses on two large activities:
on the one hand transport of various liquid products by tanker and on the other hand transport of palletised and packaged products by tautliner.
